Study Connection is an education agency that helps people to study in Australia using a WHV or Student Visa. In partnership with various schools, we offer a wide range of English language courses, vocational training, Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees.

Our services are 100% free because we are directly paid by the schools.

What are your hours?


We are open from Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 7pm. Please note that we are flexible and we also make ourselves available by telephone for people living outside Australia.

What are the differences between a WHV and a Student Visa?





What documents do I need to apply for a Student Visa?


In order to apply for a Student Visa, it is necessary to provide the following documents: Passport
School diplomas (if available)
Copy of current visa (if any)
Certificate of English: IELTS, Cambridge, TOEFL, TOEIC etc.
No worries! If you don't have an English test, you can take it directly at your school.
Compulsory health insurance
Please note that for Belgians, only Medicare is required.

Please note: If you are not a European Union national, Australian immigration will ask you to provide more documents such as :

All of the above mentioned documents
Compulsory English certificate such as IELTS or Cambridge
Bank statement justifying the necessary funds (min $15,000)




How long does it take to prepare for a Student Visa?


Visa applications can be made quickly. However, we advise you to contact us 1 month in advance so that we can prepare your file as well as possible.




How do I apply for a Student Visa?


Our team is at your disposal and will help you free of charge with all the steps involved in applying for a Student Visa: from the search for a course of study to the application for a Student Visa. For the application, we provide a detailed guide of the steps to be taken. Once you have completed your Student Visa application on the immigration website, we will check your application to make sure that everything is correct.




What are the waiting times for a Student Visa?


The timeframes are variable and depend on immigration. They can take from a few seconds to 3 months.

SCHOOL & REGISTRATION

What is a LOO (Letter Of Offer)?


The LOO (Letter Of Offer) is the Letter of Offer from the school that you will receive once you have taken the necessary steps. On it you can find : The name and address of your school
The course you have chosen
Your student number
The date of your return to school
The date of the end of your course
The dates of your holidays
Your payment deadlines (dates and amounts)
School Terms & Conditions This document must be read carefully and signed by you for validation.




What is a CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment)?


The CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) is the document that certifies your enrolment in the school. This document is important and is required by immigration authorities when you apply for a Student Visa.




What is a GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant)?


The GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant) is the letter of motivation that you will have to provide for the Student Visa application. You can ask your counsellor for help in writing it.




Where can I find the address of my school?


The address of your school will be indicated on your LOO (Letter Of Offer).




Where can I find the date of my first day of school?


The date of your return to school will be indicated on your LOO (Letter Of Offer).




Where can I find my holiday dates?


The dates of your holidays will be indicated on your LOO (Letter Of Offer).




What is an "Orientation Day"?


Orientation Day is a pre-entry day that you will need to attend. You will receive an email from your school indicating the day and time.




What documents do I need to bring with me when I go back to school?


When you go back to school, you will need to bring a notebook and a pen to take notes. We also advise you to bring your passport for the first day of classes.




What is a USI (Unique Student Identifier)?


The USI (Unique Student Identifier) is your student number. You can easily create it by clicking here.

PAYMENTS

How are the payments for the school made?


Payments are to be made every semester or trimester depending on the school. They must be sent directly to our agency via our bank details below. We will then transfer the money to the school and follow up.

How can I pay if I am outside Australia?


Payment(s) can be made by bank transfer or wire transfer. For this we use the TransferWise application which is the most cost effective option. This link will allow you to have your first transfer free of charge.




Where can I find my payment schedule?


Your payment schedule will be indicated on your LOO (Letter Of Offer). However, we advise you to schedule automatic payments from your banking application to avoid late payments and the resulting charges.
